Hymns We Sing                                             Sunday 17th September      2.30pm

Through the centuries, Christians have sung their faith.  Changing in style and form but always seeking to worship and praise God. On this afternoon we will sing some of the songs and hymns from the past 100 years.  Join us for a celebration of song and Christian Fellowship and afternoon tea at the end.

OCTOBER 2023

The Walmsley Brothers Live Concert    Saturday 7th October    7.00pm

The Walmsley Brothers Live Concert featuring Brendon, Nathan and Jared.  Saturday 7th October, 2023 at 7pm.  Award winning talent in their own right, Brendon, Nathan and Jared Walmsley combine to create an exceptional musical experience. Having now performed together for over 20 years from outback rodeos to Australia's major country music festivals, The Walmsley Brothers have established themselves as a dynamic presence on Australia's musical landscape.  $20 Adult   $10 Child #1 (under 16 years)

Trivia Afternoon                                            Saturday 21st October  2.30pm

Plenty of fun as we test our brains and memories for all the answers to a wide range of questions.  Make up a table team and compete against the others to win great prizes.  Special prize for the best dressed table. All proceeds will support mission activities.  $50 per table of 6 or $10 per person.

NOVEMBER  2023

Men's Breakfast                                        Saturday 4th November  7.00am

Always popular, the monthly Men's Breakfast will join in the celebrations for the 100 years of mission and ministry in Bundaberg.  A delicious hot breakfast, a challenging speaker and wonderful companionship will make this a wonderful occasion. $5 per person

Time Capsule Unveiling                            Sunday 5th November   10.00am

When the Church Community moved to Avoca in 1988, a collection of memorabilia was interred in a time capsule.  We will be digging up the capsule and preparing items enclosed for display later in the month. Join us for the 8.30am service, or arrive early for the 10.30am service and share in this brief historical event.

Centenary Dinner                                        Saturday 25th November 6.30pm

The Church Community will celebrate with a Special Dinner in the Youth Hall.  The evening will include some music, plans for the future, a brief message of encouragement from Dr Keith Farmer and the opportunity to reminisce of the past years. $30 per person Booking is essential.

Chinese Luncheon
12 noon

Join us for a special service of Worship, Praise and Thanksgiving as we thank God for the blessings over the past 100 years and seek His direction for the future in our ministry here in Avoca. 

​Guest Preacher: Dr Keith Farmer former Principal of Australian College of Ministries.

Following the morning service, a free Chinese meal will be available in the Youth Hall with the compliments of Peter and Mary Ho from White China Restaurant.   Bookings Essential.
